STATEMENTS TO THE SAMPLES
by Jester (Oddjob)

Jester`s Statement:
Unfortunately, this one never made it into a nice demo. I like the overall electronic feel it has. It sounds like there are more than 4 monophonic channels playing. The lead instrument is actually a short snippet from a whale's scream. There are a lot of little squeaky and plunkey noises that were great fun to play around with. Just an experiment at making trashy samples sound musical.

Jesters Statement:
I guess you could say this mod was my breakthrough in the demoscene. I wrote most of this when I was hanging out at my friend Orky's, just skipping through some samples and seeing what I could do with them. It's funny to hear how much it reflects my preference for 80's synth-pop
and disco which I really liked at the time.

Oddjobs Statement:
An atmospheric ambient track that features a digeridoo type sound that I sampled from an Braun electric shaver and then processed with an Akai S2800i sampler. I find the track pretty encapsulating, gives me associations of a grassroots perspective, like I was an insect.

Jesters Statement:
Probably my most popular track. I quite like the energy that it has plus the uplifting moment when the lead-melody sets in. Since I first saw the World of Commodore demo, I always have images of Chaos' "Amiga rules" zoom-effect in my mind when this moment comes."
